Peru to try out Windows on XO laptops
Peru is for the past 10 years in a positive economical way. Low inflation, growing exports and each time more employment. The signs of macroeconomic factors is positive.
But something is still going very bad: education.
So I'm very happy to see that Microsoft is playing a role at least that will increase awareness of the importance of modern education for everybody. And of course to make a wake up call to the private Schools to evaluate if their education is including modern technologies as well.

I found in a Web site a Turkish proverb that says: "no matter how far you go down the wrong road, turn back".

Making a business out of "birds' bathroom"
As a Peruvian I know well about the story of Guano. It looks like the time has come again for Peru to export it again and this time with the interest of the whole planet for "organic" products.
Please give a check on this article from CNN... really interesting.
Are you looking for a business? maybe this story can help you. I know of many people making profit out of selling organic products.

Good news for the Tech industry
Since the year 2002 I'm related to Central and Eastern Europe and definitively I see, because I work in that area, how the ITC industry is becoming more and more important. In many cases getting more inventive, creative and market oriented than in other parts of the world more identified with information technologies.

Dedicating our life to protect our wonderful planet
Check this video and enjoy of a good sample of "living your dreams" lifestyle:
Training batcteria to protect ourselves
Sounds like a crazy thing but actually our body is full of bacteria that is beneficial for our life.
Can you imagine to have a genetically modified bacteria that would protect our teeth instead of destroy them?
Thinking like that is the art of Jessica Snyder. She is the author of "Good germs, bad germs" and there you can find more about the interactions and interdependence our bodies and lives have with the "micro world".

Windows Vista and Dell become RED
The next time you buy a new PC from Dell with Windows Vista you could be helping to provide medicines for one person for six months to fight AIDS. That is really significant.

A new blog in my list
Yes, one more!
This time is the result of talking with Boris, the WebBorg. We concluded that would be good to publish and share somewhere all the ideas that come out of our "car" conversations. They proved to be good for us sometimes... and if they could help someone else would be even better!
Can you help me to know why David Pogue ignored one of my ideas? Visit the "SolutionFinder".

Scientific American, new web site
For many years I'm a reader of Scientific American web site. Actually I was very dissatisfied with the terrible design, unorganized layout and annoying advertisement messages.
The new design is much more clean, no more flying windows with advertisement and a very simple navigation scheme.
The main stories are displayed in the upper part together with a captivating picture. The latest news are just bellow.
Other articles are also reachable from the home page and most of them are available in RSS so you could receive automatic updates in your favorite RSS reader (I use Google reader).
The new web site also includes a "Community" space with interesting opinions, blogs and many sources of additional information. Actually that is much better for Scientific America because they can use their web site like a source of information, feedback and loyalty. That is certainly more appealing to visitors than multiple adds displayed everywhere.
Now, they use their web site for improving the magazine and as consequence they will sell more.

Starting a new year
This is my first post since 19 of December and if I try to find out why... it is because the start of the year is something very important. At least that is what I rediscover each year.
The 2007 was an interesting year. A lot of work, stress, new projects and also many beautiful moments and successful achievements.
But of course many mistakes I should not repeat this year. That is the reason of being a bit out of writing here. I started a new challenging year analyzing what to avoid, realizing what to do again and trying to learn from past experiences. That on personal and professional level.
So, between this busy start of the year I had the luck of getting a book I would like to advise you... it is inspiring, funny and "familiar". There are so many things I found in common with the message of the book... I wouldn't want to tell you more, just click here to see more.
I'm still far bellow 50 but anyway is useful!
